You may judge us for being a technological geek for all you want, but hey! there’s no denying the fact that selfies are by far the most revolutionary, experimental and innovative phase in the evolution of photography.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, a camera phone was the neighbour’s envy and owner’s pride but when Philippe Kahn took the first picture using a camera built into a mobile phone in 1997, little did he know that selfies would become a widespread phenomenon. So, as we look at some of the most happening selfies, we spot some new trends they set on social networking sites.

Family ties

If Amitabh Bachchan is doing it, well, then it definitely is a trend! While Big B posed for the camera as his son, Abhishek, clicked a selfie, the Hassan sisters were not so far behind. These selfies go a long way to show that blood is thicker than water.

Apparently, there is a certain charm in that reluctance to get out of the cozy bed and leave the dreams by the pillow side. But with tech-savvy celebrities like Neha Dhupia, Beyonce, Cara Delevingne and Sonakshi, a morning selfie just got a notch more stylish.
