After the success of Angrej, Bambukat, this beautiful artiste will now be seen in an upcoming Punjabi film Rabb Da Radio. Simmi started her career in acting with a Punjabi music video in 2014, and then things set rolling.

Actress always 

I always always wanted to act. I wanted to host a travel or a food show, yes, but I wanted to act. Must say I have always been a nautanki type. And it was the coordinators who found me out while I was studying in DAV-10 Chandigarh.

Filmi kidda 

I can watch just about any kind of film, Hindi, English, Marathi. I like dark cinema because I see content in them. But, yes I do not have any favourite. I am a no favourite kind of person.

Habit, I can do without 

See, I like perfection in my work. I keep giving retakes even when the director gets his perfect shot. I do not want to give any half-baked performance. Now, this habit is good for me but bad for others, maybe!

Marooned on an island 

I would like to take food and my mother along. I do not need a cell phone or anything else. 

I don’t leave home without

My sunscreen. In fact, I carry a big bag which has sunscreen, lip balm, my cell phone and sanitizer.

Save me from my sweet tooth

I love sweets, I drool on rasmalai and donughts. Anything sweet, I can barely resist.

Gym? No, never

It might sound weird but I have never done gymming. I might have just gone in once or twice to check it out, but otherwise no gymming. But yes, I love to keep myself busy. It’s either reading or watching films.   

Date with a Bollywood celebrity 

I find Abhay Deol adorable. He is that shy kind of an actor.

On my playlist 

All kinds of songs, one playlist has English, other has very old Hindi songs, then there is a Punjabi list. Actually my playlist changes according to my mood. 

Must-haves in my wardrobe 

I am not picky about clothes. I am fond of shrugs and over coats. You will not see me in denims. I love to live in my black leggings! 

Inspiration calling 

My mother Harpreet Kaur. She is an iron lady who has always been with me through the thick and thin. She is the foundation on which I stand today.
