Go floral: A design by Voiix

Mona

The summer spells heat, but then it’s also the time to don the florals, show those toned abs and have fun with funky jewellery. Make it summer ‘haute’ with these very wearable summer trends that we cull from the designers especially for you…

Maxi-mum effect

A beautiful printed maxi dress is a must this season. Nothing is more beautiful and relaxing then a long flowing maxi dress. Though white is in this season but nothing beats prints when it comes to the summer. I would suggest that choose a maxi dress in big floral prints and structured cut-outs. Cotton or silk would be your best bet in terms of fabric. Make sure you go low on accessories as maxi dress itself is very occupying and too many things can ruin your look.

On print

Tea length skirts are very much in this season. Be it national or international runway, tea skirts have been ruling the scene. This summer we suggest that you experiment with the prints and add some metallic texture to your skirt. Don't go for dark colour. Beige, powder blues, strawberry pink and lucile green are must- have colours in your wardrobe.

Choose a skirt that has hints of metallic colour in it, they look beautiful and strong at the same time. A stiff formal shirt should do it for your office and a crop top would suit you perfectly for the evening.

Block it up

Block prints are in vogue this season and look awesome on a summer jacket. Pair a summer jacket with a shirt and accessorise with junk jewellery. Keep the neck and the arms bare, opt for funky earrings and multiple rings on hand. As for colours, perky pink (bright pink but not really neon) and California orange are in. You cannot wear white all the time, so add greens and yellows. Mint green, a bit darker than mint, is easy on the eye and summer resistant too.

In your jeans

I have taken up denim in a very Bohemian way this summer. The fabric has been treated to make it soft and weather friendly. No need to go conventional with jeans and jacket, go for a maxy dress, shorts, culottes and more. Accessorise with sliders and simple envelop clutch.
