Madhav Arora isn’t the one to let any handicap stop his journey to become a singer, not even the occasional stammering that he suffers from.

Eleven-year-old Madhav these days is shying away from sweet and sour treats. With singing on his mind, he’s training his voice under a master and ready to put in all it takes.

“I want to do big and earn a name just like my idols Mohammed Rafi and Arijit Singh,” says the boy winning hearts of audience in reality show—Voice India Kids. He stammers when he speaks, his protective father is quick to jump in, “It’s happens only when he meets new people or tries new words, otherwise he can speak just fine.”

An entrepreneur, Rajeev Arora has accompanied him to Mumbai and is happy at the love and admiration his son is earning. Making a thorough schedule that gives equal attention to academics, riyaaz and sports, this father is ready to do all it takes to make Madhav meet his goal.

Singing for three years, Madhav had cleared all- India auditions for another celebrated reality show but couldn’t move ahead. Now, armed with classical training, the little boy, who started with Honey Singh’s rap is big time into Hindi film music.

If singing is what this little boy is passionate about, cricket fascinates him equally. He follows whatever matches are telecast and insists on watching live whenever there is a match in Mohali. “I am amazed how he follows each team and keep abreast of the latest,” says Rajeev. “There are many players I admire but Virat Kohli is my true hero,” Madhav adds.

The father-son duo urges you to follow Madhav’s journey in the reality show. “The show is fun and I am learning so much,” says the little boy whose father keeps him company to make sure he is grounded through this instant fame. — Mona
