Beyond the Clouds

Beyond the Clouds is an Indian drama film, written and directed by Majid Majidi. The original score of the film is composed by AR Rahman. The film stars Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles. The film focuses on the sibling bond and on human relationships, in general. 

Sweet and simple

Beyond the clouds is a movie with simple plot and very good performances by Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan. This movie does not bring much of Majid Majidi’s magical touch, but in some scenes the director has brought enough feel for the audience.

I love the way the film is narrated and its screenplay is brilliant too; also, excellent background score by AR Rahman.

Not so convincing 

I think most non-Indian directors like the idea of exploring the lives of impoverished Indians and the drama revolving it. This film, despite such strong performances, fails to convince the viewer because it’s tapping into the local flavour of India. Rather, it looks at it from a distance.

Nanu Ki Jaanu

Nanu Ki Jaanu is an Indian horror-comedy film, directed by Faraz Haider. It stars Abhay Deol and Patralekha in the lead roles. The movie is a remake of 2014 Tamil movie Pisaasu. Nanu Ki Jaanu is a dark comedy, the story of which revolves around a Delhi land mafia agent (Abhay Deol) who tries to deal with the arrival of a ghost in his apartment.

Laugh out loud 

It’s an outstanding film. Don’t miss it. It has a beautiful message too. Manu Rishi is the show-stealer. He has a good comic-timing.

I like the film; it’s quite dramatic. Also, it’s a clean film, so you can watch it with your family too.
