Why do you prefer comedy?

Comedy has always been my first love but to be honest, it is not that I prefer comedy over other genres. It is just that lately I have been offered more comedy roles and I am also enjoying them. I have done all genres, be it drama, tragedy or comedy, in the past, but for the last two years. 

What is the best aspect about your role?

Chandrakala Chakori is a girl from the rural belt; she is a very innocent and simple person. She has a mysterious character with a hidden agenda and does not reveal anything about herself.

Who inspired you for the comedy genre?

This industry has legends in comedy and there are a lot of actors who inspire me. If I must name one, it’s Kapil Sharma. Recently, I have worked with Kapil and its inspiring to see his comic timing.

Is Bollywood your ultimate goal?

Yes. I believe movies have a longer life span. Your characters are immortal in movies. But everything in life comes with its own pros and cons. Television gives you success overnight. 

What can audiences look forward to with your role in the show? 

Audiences can look forward to pure entertainment. The character will add a new dimension to the show and I hope audiences enjoy it.
