On the go

A nomad at heart, this girl in her twenties wants to claim a home wherever she goes. In Chandigarh, Sayali Goyal, is with 24 of her travel pictures called Seascape.

Clicking with her mobile phone, she loves to share her joy of being one with nature through her frames. Relatively small in size, 8x12 inches, hers are pictures of oceans, rivers and lakes. And, each comes with a story that she happily narrates. Executed mostly in monochrome – blue, grey or green, she loves to capture the patterns of waves, sand, stones and clouds.

She stands in front of one which captures the Pacific Ocean— the water, the hills and the clouds – all white and blue with shades of pink– she explains, “This one was clicked the last day of my two-month stay at San Francisco and I was so overwhelmed that I cried!”

There is the Thames, and the Ganges, and our own Sukhna Lake. Again at sunset, this one too juxtaposes the hills with water and boats presenting a pretty picture. Ask her about the technology letting one play with shots; she is quick to clarify, “I am not really a photographer- photographer but an artiste who loves to weave different experiences together.”

Wandering the world is on her agenda for the coming year, she is happy that Alliance Francaise de Chandigarh offered her the place to share her love for nature. “I am next doing many freelance projects to earn for my travels and would do for self to bring in cultural composites of the world that bares the central oneness through it all!”

The exhibition is on till December 23
