This June, there is something special planned for special-needs children. The whole month has been dedicated to these kids by NGO Nanhi Jaan. This ‘Joy of Giving Month’ will be full of fun activities for the kids with all kinds of disabilities. The camp, which is free of charge, is being held at the PGI community centre in Sector-24 B, Chandigarh. It’s an open opportunity for anyone who wants to volunteer and spend some time with the children. “Any person who can manage to come and join us in this beautiful event is more than welcome. Playing, laughing, enjoying with these blessed children will be a lifetime experience,” says Karanvir Singh Sibia, one of the founding members of the NGO.

Starting June 2, for three days in a week, special-needs kids will be engaged in activities such as athletics, football, chess, yoga, art and craft, golf, dance, music, etc. These will be done under the supervision of trained staff. —TNS

Venue: June 2-30, from 5pm to 7pm, at PGI, Community Centre – 24, Chandigarh
