Can you share something about yourself?
I was born and brought up in Indore. I live there with my parents and elder brother, who is studying law in Pune.
Is the role of Mariam Khan challenging?
My character is a big challenge for me, but I can assure the viewers that I am here to do my best.
What is the concept of the show?
It is the story of Mariam, an eight-year-old girl and her family. She believes in having fun and living a simple life. Her days start with some extra sleep before school!
What is your get-up on the show?
My get-up is very simple. I wear traditional dresses and leggings with long tops at home. My hair is always tied in two braids with ribbons attached.
Did you have to learn Urdu?
Since my character belongs to a traditional family in Bhopal, I had to use Urdu words mixed with Hindi in lot of my dialogues. I so loved learning a new language. I have been watching YouTube videos that help me
get the correct tone
and speech.
How do you manage your classes in school?
I have always been a good performer in school despite shooting. My brother and mother help me finish my home-work. My mother always accompanies me to the sets.
How do you spend your day when you are not shooting?
I spend time with my grandparents. I also go to school and catch up on my studies.
What are your hobbies?
I love dancing and travelling.
