The epic takedown

Spoils of War could go down in Game of Thrones history as one of the best episodes of all time. Filled with action and multiple reunions, this power-packed episode made us cringe on our seats, especially when Bronn shot down Daenerys’ dragons, Drogon, in the final scene! GOT is one such show that can pit two beloved characters against each other in a scene and still not let the viewers hate either of the two. The same happened in the latest episode of the series with Bronn and Daenerys.

However, Jerome Flynn, who plays Bronn on the show, has revealed that he’s suddenly grown unpopular with the fans for shooting a spear at Drogon! Says Jerome Flynn, “I spent weeks on that sequence. But I was on the edge of my seat, the adrenaline was running — they really nailed it.”

Both sides of the battle had characters we love, but when Bronn was tasked with taking down Daenerys and her dragon, a lot of fans then showed their true loyalties! “Although since the day the battle aired, I’ve been a little unpopular, I have to say,” Flynn said. “My postman won’t speak to me, because I shot the dragon.”
