The secret is out

Singer Cheryl Cole and her partner and singer Liam Payne have announced the birth of their son after keeping it a secret for three days.

Singer Cheryl Cole and her partner and singer Liam Payne have announced the birth of their son after keeping it a secret for three days.

Cole announced the news on her Instagram account on Saturday night by posting an image of Payne holding the baby to his chest, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... Wow. I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far," Cole captioned the image.

The birth of their son turned out to be more special as it happened just a few days before Mother's Day.

"On Wednesday March 22, Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 (3.43 kg) and looking like a dream.

"Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever," she added.

Payne also shared an emotional post and described fatherhood as "a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life.” — IANS
