Ahmedgarh, February 18
More than 150 students of Good Earth Convent School were felicitated during the fourth annual function held at Siahar village near here today.
Former IAS G K Singh presided over the function and Padamshri awardee Surjit Patar was the chief guest.
Event convener Gurmukh Singh Gomi said achievers in various fields, including academic, sports and extracurricular activities, were felicitated during the function held under supervision of Amarjit Sidhu and Pardeep Sethi, president and vice-president of the school’s trust, respectively.
Poems, songs and choreographies highlighting causes and consequences of social evils were appreciated by all present.
Surjit Patar argued that learning English and other foreign languages, besides the mother tongue, had emerged as prerequisite for success at international level.
