20 selected for inter-district cricket tourney

LUDHIANA:Twenty players were selected during the trials conducted by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA) to take part in the Inter-District Katoch Shield Cricket Tournament.

Twenty players were selected during the trials conducted by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA) to take part in the Inter-District Katoch Shield Cricket Tournament.

The wicketkeeper-batsman and Punjab Ranji player, Geetansh Khera, will lead the district team in the tournament. Other members of the team are Sunny Pandey, Vaibhav Narang, Prince, Nikhil Choudhary, Sandeep Singh, Baltej Singh, Rahil Khanna, Sukhjinder Singh, Kashish Pasneja, Simranjit, Krishna, Sarabjit, Harpreet Singh, Vidush Arora, Bharat Malhotra, Dewakar, Prem, Harnoor Singh and Dilpreet Singh.

The selected players have been asked report to Love Abhlish and Charanjit on August 19 by 8.30 am at Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road.

Ludhiana would play its first match against Amritsar from August 25 to 27 at Amritsar, according to Vinod Chitkara, honorary general secretary, LDCA.
