AAP protest demonetisation

Leaders and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Khanna candidate Anil Datt Phalli, today protested demonetisation at Lalheri Chowk. Samrala candidate Sarbans Singh Manki and Bassi Pathana contestant Santokh Singh Salana also addressed the protesters.

The speakers flayed the Modi government for carrying out demonetisation. They said this process had caused immense problems to common man and they were facing difficulties to make both ends meet. They alleged that industry was reeling under demonetisation effects and thousands of workers had lost their jobs due to the prevailing recession.

They said a number of persons had lost their lives but the Modi government was tight-lipped about these deaths. The speakers questioned who was responsible for the deaths of around 170 persons due to demonetisation. They blamed the Modi government for these deaths.

The protest was also addressed among others by Ashutosh Tandon, Dharminder Singh Rooprai, Malkeet Singh Meeta and other local leaders of AAP.
