AEO workshop organised

Ludhiana, June 19

As a part of the ongoing authorised economic operator (AEO) week by the Delhi Customs Zone, Commissionerate of Customs, Ludhiana, organised AEO camp at the Customs House Sahnewal on Tuesday.

Around 50 representatives from various industrial organisations and importers, exporters were present on the occasion. Commissioner of Customs AS Ranga highlighted salient features of the AEO scheme, number of applications received till date, major shortcomings noticed in filing the AEO applications etc.

Ranga said the Indian government is committed to trade facilitation and is a signatory to WTO’s trade facilitation agreement .

This programme was mooted by the WCO and Article 7 of the FTA.
