Ludhiana July 11

The Haibowal police are yet to identify the assailants, who had shot at a grocery store owner on Chuharpur Road on Tuesday night.

The police have been scanning the CCTV cameras of the area. One CCTV footage was recovered, but due to darkness, images were not clear.

Station House Officer, Haibowal police station, Sub-Inspector Paramdeep Singh said a case of attempt to murder was registered against the unidentified youths. However, the police are yet to get any vital clue.

He said efforts were on to identify the accused, adding that even the victim could not notice the bike number due to darkness. “We are still checking the CCTV cameras of the area to get a clue about the assailants,” he said.

Around 11 pm, two bike-borne miscreants had attacked grocery owner Manpreet Singh on Tuesday night. The victim had suffered serious bullet injury near his stomach, while one bullet just grazed the skin of his neck.
