LUDHIANA: There was panic at Transport Nagar, near the gurdwara, when passersby noticed a man lying unconscious on the road on Sunday morning.

There was panic at Transport Nagar, near the gurdwara, when passersby noticed a man lying unconscious on the road on Sunday morning. People immediately informed the PCR and the police reached the spot in no time.

Moti Nagar SHO Praveen Randev said during preliminary investigation, it was found that the man suffered a natural death. It could be possible that the man, who seemed to be aged between 25 and 30, had suffered fits. There were no visible injury marks on the body, he said.

The SHO said the victim was yet to be identified. The body has been kept at the mortuary of Civil Hospital.

The police filed proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC. — TNS
