Khanna, December 16

A migrant labourer was gored to death by a bull near the grain market here. The deceased, Shambhu (35), worked at a tea stall in Payal.

Shambhu was going coming to Khanna from Payal. When he reached near the grain market on the main road, one of the two bulls that were engaged in a fierce fight repeatedly gored him. Shambhu fell on the road and cried for help. Some persons came to his rescue and chased the bulls away. He was rushed to the local Civil Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Additional Station House Officer (City Khanna) Devinder Pal Singh confirmed the incident. He said the injured died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, a social activist, Shashi Bardhan, have demanded that stray animals should be removed from the roads of the town at the earliest.
