City students to show creative fashion designs in Noida

LUDHIANA: City-based fashion designing students are all set to showcase their creative flair in Designer Next India Season–4 on April 21 at Noida Film City.

City-based fashion designing students are all set to showcase their creative flair in Designer Next India Season–4 on April 21 at Noida Film City.

The dresses designed by the students include are a mix of ball gown and short dresses in aqua colors embellished with shells, beads and sparkling metal pieces.

The collections are categorised in groups. Among these, there is a range inspired by African tribe, Zulu, which is designed by Kulwinder Shergil. She has designed five western outfits to reveal tribal look in lycra, cotton, denim, and net. Students have also designed aqua dresses to explicate life underwater through a collection called ‘Vida Marina.’’

Diksha, an IIFT student, said, “It is our first opportunity to exhibit our designs at such a large platform. We have really worked hard for it.”

Varun, another student, said, “We are really excited about the fashion show. We will get a chance to interact with eminent personalities of the fashion world.”

Nine students of Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) will participate in Designer Next India, which is a platform for trainees of fashion stream.
