The inaugural edition of the International Bodybuilding Competition-Sheru Classic Pro Qualifiers Series will be held here on February 10.
Asia’s biggest and the third world over, this bodybuilding competition, recognised by the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) will provide an appropriate platform to bodybuilders and encourage others towards the game.
This was stated by Manish Gandhi, Director, Asian Business Conferences and Exhibitions (ABCE), at a press conference held here today to release the poster of an upcoming event.
MP Ravneet Singh Bittu and MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu jointly released the poster on the occasion.
“This competition will provide an opportunity to amateur athletes to turn professionals and compete in Mr Olympia Athletics, in which participants from all over the world will be vying for top honours as the winners during this meet would win Pro Cards,” said Gandhi.
Hemant Angrish, co-founder, Sheru Classic, said this event was sure to motivate and inspire youngsters towards the game of bodybuilding and encourage them in keeping themselves away from drugs.
He said a campaign would be started during which drug addicts would be treated. They would be helped in celebrating strength and leading a healthy life.
Deepak Prashar, general secretary, Indian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation; Ravi Prashar and Parminder Chinna, general secretary and president, respectively, of the Punjab Amateur Bodybuilding Assocaition; Harmeet Sheru Angrish, Kiranjeet Singh Bobby, Ram Prashar and Maharaj Singh Raji, former councillor, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, were among others present at the press conference.
