Ludhiana: Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, inaugurated its new academic session 2017-18. Principal Manjit Kaur Ghuman congratulated all the position holders of the previous session and encouraged the students to improve and enrich their faculties. Gurvinder Singh Sarna, General Secretary, Managing Committee, also urged the students to excel in their respective fields by adopting the path of hard work and dedication.
Plantation drive held
Today, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, organised a 'Tree Plantation Drive' on the campus. The chie guest on the event was Padmashree awardee Sant Baba Sewa Singh, an environmentalist. The Principal, Arvinder Singh, welcomed the chief guest. In his welcome address he said the college not only provides the bookish knowledge to the students but also promises to teach them the moral values and environmental ethics.
Orientation programme for students
Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC) of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised an orientation programme for under-graduate and postgraduate students from July 25 to July 27 to mark the commencement of new session 2017-18. Dr Priyaka Khanna (Head, Department of Commerce) welcomed the students to the KCW family. She also talked about various scholarship schemes and encouraged the students to gain benefit of the same. She highlighted the importance of value-based education. Principal of the college, Dr Mukti Gill, appreciated the efforts of IQAC coordinator Sarvjit Kaur for organising such programme. She urged the students to become responsible citizens and put their best efforts to participate in the growth and development of the nation. — TNS
