Teachers offer sweets to position holders of the Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women



Ludhiana: Students of the Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana, have brought laurels to the college by performing well in MA Hindi third semester exams held by Panjab University. Merry secured fifth position in the district and first in the college by securing 73 per cent marks. Puneet bagged seventh position in the district and second in college with 72per cent marks. Komal clicnhed third position in college with 69 per cent marks. The total pass percentage of the college remained 100per cent. Chairman of the college managing committee Sukhdev Raj Jain and college Principal Sarita Bahl congratulated the students and staff.

Students of Tara Singh College bring laurels

Students of MA Hindi first and third semesters of the Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana, brought laurels to the college by showing excellent performance in Panjab University exams. Shivani of first semester scored 70.75per cent marks. Shimmpi and Sarita Devi secured second and third positions by securing 70.25per cent and 60.75per cent marks respectively. Harpreet Kaur of third semester secured 73 per cent marks. Chahat Sharma and Anchal bagged second and third positions by securing 66.5per cent and 66.25per cent marks respectively. College President Swaran Singh, other members of managing committee and Principal Kirandeep Kaur congratulated the students.

Personality development workshop at Arya College

A 15-day personality development workshop began at Arya College on Wednesday. Sukhsham Ahluwalia, in-charge girls sections presided over the introductory session and addressed the young students. Workshop in-charge PK Pannu outlined the programme which would include computer skills, English speaking, art and craft, yoga and meditation, public speaking, personal grooming, music and orientation to different subjects.— TNS
