‘Born to be King’ star cast to raise voice against drug menace

LUDHIANA: The star cast of Punjabi film ‘Born To Be King’ was in city today. The film raises voice against drug menace and motivates the youth of Punjab to save their lives, homeland, country and the world.

The star cast of Punjabi film ‘Born To Be King’ was in city today. The film raises voice against drug menace and motivates the youth of Punjab to save their lives, homeland, country and the world.

The film has actors, including Ateesh Randev, Sonam Bajwa, Deana Uppal, Bhupi Singh, Puneet Issar, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi and Ranjeet and is directed by Satyajeet Puri. Sudhir Sharma is the producer and story writer of the film. The film is set to be released on March 4.

The film has been shot in London and Punjab. Actor Puneet Issar said, “It is a family drama giving a social message to youth. Making the film was like serving the society in real terms. I am proud to be a part of it.”

Ranjeet agreed to Puneet’s version and added, “The efforts are not enough. The problem has grown so big that each and every individual now has to work on a personal level to eradicate this problem from the society. We as actors and entertainers will do our part, further it is all up to our audience and the general public.”

Director Satyajeet Puri said, “We have made an honest effort for the society. We did a lot of research during the pre-production stage and found alarming statistics.”

The producer has also made a promise to donate 1% of the net revenue from the film to an NGO that is working on drug rehab centre to make Punjab a drug-free state.
