A golden chance for visually impaired

LUDHIANA: A two-year special course for visually impaired students will be started at Braille Bhawan, Jamalpur.

Ludhiana, May 28

A two-year special course for visually impaired students will be started at Braille Bhawan, Jamalpur. This course has been started jointly by the Centre’s National Institute for Visually Handicapped, Dehradun, and the Punjab Government. Applications have been sought for this special course with duration of two years.

While giving information, course coordinator of the institute informed that the course, affiliated by the Rehabilitation Council of India, could be pursued after completing Class XII. The course is considered at par with Elementary Teachers Training (ETT) course and after its completion, the students can work as special teachers as well as elementary teachers.

The last date for applying for the course comprising 25 seats is June 5. Free hostel will be provided to girl students. Further information can be sought at 0161-2622201 and 9463912909.
