Allahabad-Jammu Tawi special train from today

LUDHIANA: The Railways have announced to run two more special trains – one between Allahabad and Jammu Tawi and the other between Howrah and Jammu Tawi — to cope with the spurt in passenger traffic during the summer season.

The Railways have announced to run two more special trains – one between Allahabad and Jammu Tawi and the other between Howrah and Jammu Tawi — to cope with the spurt in passenger traffic during the summer season.

While the Allahabad-Jammu train will start from tomorrow, the train for the Hawrah-Jammu section will be on the tracks from May 11.

The 04111/04112 Allahabad - Jammu Tawi Weekly Special Train will make 30 trips (15 in each direction) from March 22 to June 29 and the 82303/04 Howrah-Jammu Tawi Suvidha Weekly Special train will make 12 trips from May 11 to June 17.

The 04111 Allahabad - Jammu Tawi weekly special train will run every Wednesday — departing from Allahabad at 3.20 pm to reach Jammu Tawi following day at 1.50 pm. The 04112 train will leave Jammu Tawi every Thursday at 10.10 pm to reach Allahabad at 6.25 pm the next day. The train will halt at Fatehpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Tundla, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Old Delhi Jn, Panipat, Amabala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt and Pathankot Cantt.

The 82303 Howrah-Jammu Tawi Suvidha special weekly train will leave Howrah every Thursday at 11.55 pm and reach Jammu Tawi at 3 pm on Saturday. The 82304 train will leave Jammu Tawi every Saturdays at 8.10 pm to reach Howrah at 6.30 am on Monday.

The train with 20 coaches, including AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches, will have stoppages at Asansol, Dhanbad, Gaya, Mugalsarai, Varanasi, Lucknow Charbagh, Breilly, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt and Pathankot Cantt.—OC
