Experts dwell on growing trends in digital marketing

Young Indians (Yi)-Ludhiana Chapter, organised an interactive session on digital marketing for students of GNA-IMT College, Phagwara. Vipul Rattan, senior manager, VR Worx Limited, was the key note speaker.

Rattan said: “Digital marketing is a concept which involves targeted, measurable and interactive marketing of products or services using digital technologies/media to reach and convert potential leads into customers. It is the latest buzz in the world of marketing and brand promotions. More and more companies today are using digital marketing for promotion and selling their products or services. More and more people have started using internet for their routine jobs through computers, laptops and mobiles phones, etc or for gathering various important news or information and getting active on various social media of their choices. This has led to a major boost in the field of digital marketing.

Digital Marketing is relatively a new concept in India, but it holds a great potential in future for both, companies using it for their product promotions and for those who are seeking their career in this field. It offers a number of benefits and edges over the traditional marketing strategies such as any business can compete with any competitor regardless of size with a solid digital marketing strategy and this has helped various domestic business players to compete with bigger or global players, the incurring cost of using this medium is much less as compared to traditional marketing, it provides a real time view of business performance and market and few more benefits to be shared.
