Ludhiana, November 21
The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), Punjab Chapter, Ludhiana, jointly organised a session with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) on “International Business Practices and Corporate Law” here today.
Forty representatives from all major exporting companies attended the session.
SC Ralhan, president, FIEO, said the session on corporate law was aimed at keeping in view the current global scenario.
Ralhan said it’s a challenging time for the Indian economy as our exports have slowed down due to global slowdown and other related factors, but the members of the trade and export fraternity along with the FIEO and government regulators had to dwell on these challenges successfully. He added that in a bid to arrest the continuous decline in exports, the Government of India had now come up with the interest subvention scheme at 3 per cent which was believed to revive the exports in the coming months.
Aparna Jain gave a presentation on international business practices, corporate laws, formation of companies, copy right, patents, branding, etc.
