Fire at an empty plot in Shimla Puri; no loss of life

Ludhiana: A fire broke out at an empty plot with a boundary wall in Shimla Puri near Gill Road on Saturday. Additional Fire Officer Bhupinder Singh Sandhu said six fire tenders were sent to douse the flames.

Ludhiana: A fire broke out at an empty plot with a boundary wall in Shimla Puri near Gill Road on Saturday.

Additional Fire Officer Bhupinder Singh Sandhu said six fire tenders were sent to douse the flames.

“It took an hour to control the fire but there was no loss of life or property as the plot was used to store scrap and defunct material,” said Sandhu. — TNS
