MLA SR Kaler laid the foundation stone of Ambedkar Bhawan at Jagraon today. The bhawan will be constructed at the cost of Rs 60 lakh on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur highway near Jagraon. Residents of the Jagraon area, particularly the Dalit community, led by the Dr BR Amkar Welfare Trust, had been demanding Ambedkar Memorial Building at Jagraon for a long time.

Kaler said “The state government has constructed memorials of personalities belonging to all religions without any discrimination. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, the state government has fulfilled all promises it had made to people of Punjab.”

Stating that the people were fully satisfied with the development works carried out by the state government during the last nine years, Kaler claimed that the SAD-BJP alliance would once again form the government in Punjab during the upcoming Assembly elections.

“It is due to the efforts of the government that Punjab has advanced on the path of development,” Kaler added.

Former Jagraon MLA Bhag Singh Mallha, Jagraon Block Samiti chairman Didar Singh Malak, SGPC member Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Jagraon MC president Satish Kumar Pappu and Hathur Market Committee chairman Chand Singh Dalla were present during the occasion.
