Man’s body fished out of canal

LUDHIANA: The body of an unidentified man was found from the Sidhwan canal here today.

Ludhiana, June 3

The body of an unidentified man was found from the Sidhwan canal here today. Some of the slum dwellers, who were swimming in the canal, found the body and raised the alarm. The commuters called to police control room and informed about the body. The police reached the spot immediately and fished it out with the help of the slum dwellers.

The police did not find any proof to establish the identity of the dead. The police are suspecting suicide by the person. The body has been sent to the mortuary at the Civil Hospital and it would be kept there for next 72 hours.
