Fashion, glamour, vibrant colours, dazzling models, lavishing garments and the razzle-dazzle oscillated during the INIFD Ludhiana Fashion Weekend.

“INIFD Ludhiana Fashion Weekend is a confluence of the novice and veteran fashion designers at one podium. The fashion weekend is a prelude to the launch of the most desired, required and eagerly awaited fashion event in the Manchester of India. The show of creativity is indeed worth watching and proves that the institute not only imparts the best of education to its current students during their course, but also continues to maintain relationship with them and provides a platform to expand their business manifold once they launch themselves into the fashion market,” said Amardeep Lall, chairperson, INIFD, Ludhiana.

Designs from carpets, tattoos, traditional art and craft of Jaipur, Mughal architecture and nature inspired the budding designers to concoct a spectacular fashion display. The ethnic ensemble including an array of clothing line such as lehngas, palazzos, tunics and shervanis was highly eulogised by the cognoscenti of the city.

The ravishing models showcased the enticing collection in various rounds such as Galicha, Mughal Nakkashi, Dark Delights, Tattoo Slang, Jai-Pearl-Embro, The Unreal Beginning, Kundalini, Cascade and Crucifix.

Alumni designers of INIFD Ludhiana who have carved a niche for themselves in the fashion arena also unveiled their collection in themes — “GathBandhan” and “The Enchanting Tale” — a collection of gowns and knee-length dresses which enthused the audience completely.

The phenomenal garments were carved in distinct fabrics as silk, satin, velvet, crepe, chiffon, net and georgette with a unique usage of asymmetrical cuts, embroidery works, Swarovski , stone work ,A-line silhouettes in vibrant as well as pastel shades.
