The Northern Railways have decided to extend the run of special train No. 02125/02126 Nagpur-Amritsar-Nagpur Weekly Special Fare AC Super Fast Special Train in order to cope up with spurt in passenger traffic during the ongoing festival season.
The train will make four additional trips in each direction from October 22 to November 14, 2016.
The 02125 Nagpur-Amritsar train will leave Nagpur on every Saturday from October 22 at 5.50 pm and reach Amritsar at 9.05 pm the next day with a five-minute halt at Ludhiana.
In the return direction, the train 02126 Amritsar-Nagpur will leave Amritsar on every Monday from October 24 to November 14 at 4.20 am and will arrive at Nagpur at 4.25 am the next day with a five-minute halt at Ludhiana.
The fully AC train will have scheduled stoppages at Jalandhar City, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt., New Delhi, Agra Cantt., Gwalior, Jhansi and Bhopal.
Katra-Delhi Tri-weekly special train cancelled
Meanwhile, the railway authorities have announced that the services of the 82401/82402 Delhi Jn.-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Delhi Jn. Tri-weekly Suvidha AC Express Special train will be cancelled with immediate effect from Delhi Jn. from October 18 onward from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
The Delhi Jn.-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special train, leaving Delhi Jn. on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday and departing from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra on every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday, was earlier extended to run from October 1 to November 19.
The railways have cited operational reasons as the basis for cancellation of this train.
