LUDHIANA: Avon cycles in its endeavour to promote cycling and health has decided to organise an event on March 4 where cyclists from across the city would be participating.

Avon cycles in its endeavour to promote cycling and health has decided to organise an event on March 4 where cyclists from across the city would be participating. This event is an extension of the ‘Avon Cyclogreen’ that is being carried by the company.

Onkar Singh Pahwa (CMD, Avon cycle) while addressing a press conference here today said that this is an effort to make the environment and atmosphere clean and pollution free. This can be achieved by promoting cycling and go green.

“The idea behind this initiative is to reach out to the people of the city to bring a small change in the way we all live and if each one of us will start contributing then the results would be exceptional. Cyclogreen 2017 is being organised to show concern to our environment via promoting cycling as health gadget and also to motivate youngsters for physical activities. The event shall be starting from Guru Nanak Stadium to Aarti chowk and will be completed at the stadium, from 6 am onwards. To boost up the participation we have decicde to distribute prizes worth Rs 1 lakhs,” said Pahwa.

Sanjeev pahwa, MD Ralco Tyres said that cycling is unique and one of the most accessible sport on the planet.
