Ludhiana: Students of LKG of Blossoms Convent School learnt to make various things with the help of ice-cream sticks such as frames, toys and boxes. Principal Amarjit Kaur appreciated students and their works. She said such activities help teachers to learn about students’ interests. 

Turban-tying competition

SKSS International Public School organised turban-tying a competition, mehandi competition and teej function. In turban competition, Inderjeet Singh of Class XI won the first prize and Master Pahul Singh got the second prize. In mehandi competition, first prize was won by Navjot Kaur and second by Manjeet Kaur. Harmanjot Kaur of Class XII was the teej queen and first runner-up was Ekjot Kaur.

I-Day celebrations

Independence Day was celebrated at Garden Valley International School, Machhiwara. The school was decked up with balloons and kites. National flag was hoisted and students sang patriotic songs. A cultural programme was organised.

Guru Hargobind school 

Guru Hargobind Public Senior Secondary School, Sidhwan Khurd, celebrated the 71st Independence Day with zeal. Documentary films 'Incredible India' and 'Swachh Bharat' were played in class rooms to imbibe in them the spirit of patriotism and to teach them the importance of hygienic living.

Eastwood International School

The students of Eastwood International School, Mullanpur, celebrated Independence Day. The programme began with the flag-hoisting ceremony. The Eastwoodians showcased the ethos and spirit of the Indian soldiers through patriotic songs and dances. All students, teachers and guests sang the national anthem.

Brats n Cuties

Students of Brats n Cuties celebrated Independence Day. The event reflected the efforts put in by children, teachers and parents. Students came attired as freedom fighters/ national leaders and performed on patriotic songs. The soft boards were decorated with national symbols.

Planet E School

Planet E Senior Secondary School conducted a special assembly to celebrate Independence Day on the school premises. A plethora of activities such as patriotic songs and dances were organised. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by school principal Suman Arora. A flash mob moved to various villages such as Dhilwaa, Rajewal, Manki, Utalan and presented choreography to make people aware about their duties and fundamental rights. TNS
