A week-long ‘Cookery workshop’ was recently concluded at Cordia Institute of Hotel Management, Sanghol. The students as well as teachers participated in the workshop.

They learnt to make cakes, cookies, pastries, pizza, pastas, sandwiches and salads. Participants found it a useful and interactive first hand cooking experience, of working in a professional training kitchen .

Urmil Verma, the Director of the Cordia Group Of Institutes, inaugurated the workshop and said shw would be conducting such workshops in future for the students. The Principalof the institute, Harshbir Singh, who himself is a chef , in his concluding address informed about the various career prospects of ‘Cooking’ as profession and encouraged the schoolchildren to take it up as their profession.
