Students of Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, Kidwai Nagar, Ludhiana, reaped a haul of 11 medals, including nine gold, in the All-India Inter-University Martial Arts Competition that concluded on February 19 at Talwara in Hoshiarpur district.
Three students from the college took part in kayaking and canoeing events in this competition and two of them namely Meera Dass and Baljeet Kaur stamped their class by winning 11 medals between them.
Meera annexed six gold medals in addition to one silver medal, while Baljeet Kaur clinched three gold medals and a bronze medal.
Principal Sarita Bahl appreciated the duo for bringing laurels to their alma mater. The members of the college management committee along with others also appreciated their achievement and wished them more success in future.
