Dr Sanjeev Kumar Uppal, Professor-cum-Head, Department of Veterinary Medicine, joined as Dean, Postgraduate Studies at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.
Dr Uppal received his BVSc and AH and MVSc in Veterinary Medicine from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, and joined as Assistant Animal Health Specialist in 1991.
He earned his PhD in Veterinary Medicine from Punjab Agricultural University under the ‘Sandwich Programme’ of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Fellowship.
He has several awards and honours to his credit viz National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (NAVS) of India, Commonwealth Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Liverpool (UK), DC Blood Gold Medal by Indian Society for Veterinary Medicine and ICAR fellowships at graduate and post-graduation level. He undertook Advanced Clinical Training from Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
He has more than 110 international and national research and clinical publications to his credit.
