LUDHIANA: A blood donation camp was organised at Arya College for Boys to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj, here today.

A blood donation camp was organised at Arya College for Boys to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj, here today.

Prem Gupta, Secretary of the DMCH Managing Society, inaugurated the camp and lauded the blood donors for their contribution. Around 200 volunteers donated blood at the camp. They wewre were provided with refreshments and given blood-donor cards. The event was organised in collaboration with the Arya Veer Dal. Those present at the camp were briefed about the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

A team of doctors and supporting staff from the Department of Transfusion Medicine, DMCH, were present to facilitate smooth functioning of the camp.

Punjab General Secretary Prem Bhardwaj and Arya College Managing Committee president Devinder Nath Sharma were present.

College principal RC Tejpal felicitated the members of organising committee, including Arvind Malhotra, Anil Trikha, Head of English Department, Dr Deepika Dhir, Dr SP Singh, Dr R Mukhopadhaya, Rama Bansal and Dr Anil Gupta, Head of Botany Department.
