Ludhiana: Army Day was observed at Ryan International School, Dugri. The students of Classes I and II painted pictures of fighter planes on t-shirts, students of Class III made cut-outs of Army men, students of Class IV made Army men flying with parachutes and students of Class V participated in a poster-making activity in which they wrote various slogans. The students were told about the significance and outstanding contribution of the Indian Army. The various activities glorified the day as students came to know about the Army.
LOHRI CELEBRATED
Phillaur: Lohri was celebrated at DRV DAV Centenary Public School with fervour. Students and staff danced to the tune of Punjabi numbers and lit the sacred fire. The mood on the premises was upbeat and the students and staff members were absorbed in the festive spirit. Refreshments were also distributed among the students and staff members.
