A ‘Career Seminar’ in the field of commerce and management was organised by the Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, here today.  

The seminar was chaired by Principal Dr Mukti Gill. It was co-chaired by Dr Priyaka Khanna, Head, Post Graduate Department of Commerce. Shakti Jindal, president, Corporate Affairs, SEL Manufacturing Company, Limited, was the resource person. She interacted with BCom, MCom final-year students and introduced them to resources and skills required for successful career in the field of management. 

The aim of the career programme was to help the students in choosing their professions according to talent, inclination and capability. The resource person discussed major career options in commerce such as chartered accountancy, cost and work accountancy, banking, financial analyst, insurance, research and so on and their relative pros and cons.
