Shanti Tara Girls College organised the annual convocation function. Prof AS Chawla, Vice Chancellor, RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh, presided over the function as chief guest. Sunila Gupta, Vice-Chairperson of college, and Prof Arvind Malhotra, General Secretary, also presided over the ceremony.
A total number of 147 degrees were conferred on the students. The chief guest felicitated the special awardees during the ceremony. The candidate Harwinder Kaur received a roll-of-honour.
Sandeep Kaur, Gurjeet Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Dimple Rani, Sandeep Kaur, Amandeep Kaur, Manjot Kaur, Simranjeet Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Baljeet Kaur, Parminder Kaur, Kiranjeet Kaur, Pooja, Parwinder Kaur received college color.
While addressing the students, the chief guest stressed on the need of improving knowledge. He said the students should achieve excellence in academics because globalisation has posed a stiff competition along with new opportunities. Charanpreet Singh Dua, Principal of the college, presented the college report highlighting various academic and extra-curricular activities and achievements of the college.
