Manav Rachna International School organised an educational trip for the students of Grades I-III to Nursery and Garden to sensitise students towards environment and help them understand different kinds of plants, soil, gardening equipment and practices in addition to life processes related to plants and insects. The teachers briefed the students about what they would find in the Nursery and prepared them for the wonderful experience in the company of nature. They gave them journals to pen down their learning and experience. The colourful flowers of the Nursery welcomed the students into their amazing world. Children were overjoyed to see the variety of plant life in the garden and enjoyed exploring it. They were excited to interact with the resource person and were curious to know about the changes which take place in the journey of a seed into a plant.

DANCE COMPETITION

A dance competition was organised at Shifaly International School in which students from Class I to III participated. Usha Jain (educational director, SEGI) graced this occasion with her presence. Tiny tots performed gidha, bhangra and western dance. They amazed everyone with their performance. A choreography based on the theme of ‘saving the wild life’ was applauded by the whole audience. At last winners were awarded with prizes and certificates. Principal Rosy Jain motivated the students by saying that participation is more important than winning.

ANNUAL DAY

Kangaroo Kids today celebrated its annual day at Guru Nanak Bhawan with pomp, show and grandeur. The theme of the show was a twist in time. It was enacted by Cinderella, who travels the world by reaching out to different friends through the language of music. Music is the universal language a rich experience for children. Music positively impacts the growth of a child’s brain academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. It connects importance of reading too. —TNS
