Students of Shifaly International School attended scouts and guide camp, held at Shimla, under the guidance of scout Master Sr Gurdeep Singh. Eleven students named NakulTiwari ,Shubham Arora ,Lakshitjain, Ayush, Gourang, Krishna, MukeshDatta, Ankit, Chandan, Rohan, Keshav Arora were honoured with 'Rajyapurskaar'. Three students named Abhijeet ,Lucky ,Rupin participated in hiking and trekking sports adventure. They were awarded with certificates .They also visited 'TaradeviMandir' and 'Hanuman Mandir' .Principal Rosy Jain lauded them for their remarkable performances. She congratulated them on their achievements.

Seminar on health at Green Land

A seminar on health and wellness was organised at Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ludhiana, for the students of class VII & VIII. The students were made aware about certain diseases such as malaria, dengue, chikangunia and their symptoms and preventive measures. The students were also enlightened about the importance of personal hygiene and good food habits for promoting health.

Physics workshop held

DAV, BRS, organised a workshop on 'Understanding physics through demonstration' on Wednesday. Physics is not just a subject to be learned only in classrooms but has a wider application in our daily lives. The lecture was organised under the aegis of Regional Council Punjab & J&K. Dr BS Sidhu, Chairman, IAPT (Indian Association Of Physics Teachers), Kanpur, was the resource person of the day. Dr Sidhu advised the students to refrain from cramming and stressed on clearing the concepts as it goes a long way in retaining interest and helping an extra mile to gain in depth knowledge of the subject.

Earth Day Celebrated

The students of Primary Wing of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, celebrated the Earth Day on Wednesday on the school campus. The tiny-tots of kindergarten section planted saplings in the pots. These were ornamental and flowering plants. While taking keen interest in the plantation drive they raised environment friendly slogans also under the guidance of their teachers. However, the students from class I to V took out an environment awareness rally.

Investiture ceremony organised

Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, organised an investiture ceremony with great enthusiasm. Deserving young talents of the school were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with commitment, confidence and competence. Manmeet Singh was the newly elected head- boy and Khushi was the newly elected head- girl. The council members also took a formal oath to carry out the duties assigned to them with sincerity and efficiency. Principal Gurmant Kaur Gill, congratulated the newly appointed council. .

‘Red Colour Day’ celebrated 

In order to infuse the concept of red colour to the tiny tots, DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, celebrated 'Red Colour Day' on the school premises. The children were attractively dressed in different shades of red. Red coloured fruits, flowers and objects were displayed in an artistic manner. The activity room was decorated. Students were made to recognise the colour through various games and playway activities. To make the generation next practical the school has adopted a noble method of educating the tiny tots. Principal Satwant Kaur Bhullar said  Red has always been a favourite colour for everyone. It is a symbol of love and care.
