Ludhiana, January 19
Five general and three police observers appointed by the Election Commission of India have reached here. They will be keeping a strict vigil over all 14 constituencies during the entire election process.
Ravi Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner-cum district election officer, said these observers would be in the city till the election procedure in the district was completed.
“Any candidate or voter having any complaint regarding the election procedure can approach the observer of his area and file his/her complaint. The telephone numbers of these observers have been made public,” said Bhagat.
