A farewell function for the students of Class XII was held at the Government College for Girls (GCG). College Principal Sharanjit Kaur was the chief guest. Rubalpreet Kaur was declared Miss Farewell, while Khuspreet Kaur and Jaismeen were declared first and second runners- up, respectively. Aprajita Kumari won the title of Miss Catwalk, whereas Manjot Kaur was elected Miss Elegant. Faculty members, including Manju Sahni, Kirpal Kaur and Mamta Kochar, graced the occasion. In the end, Principal Sharanjit Kaur addressed the students and wished them luck for exams.

Condolence meeting

Due to the untimely demise of Hardial Singh Gill, Vice-President of the GHG Group of Institutions, a condolence meeting was held by the faculty members and students of GHG Khalsa College, GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy and GHG Khalsa College of Education. Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr SS Deol said Hardial Singh Gill was an exemplary figure with his life dedicated to the cause of education and the welfare of society. His contributions to the GHG Group of Institutions have been immense. He also threw light on the inspirational life and work of Hardial Singh Gill. Following this, two-minute silence was observed. —TNS
