Dr PS Jassal was declared as president elect-2019 of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ludhiana, while Dr Pritpal Singh and Dr Dheeraj Aggarwal were unanimously elected as senior vice-president and vice-president, respectively.
The results of office-bearers for 2018 and president elect 2019 were declared after scrutiny of nomination papers of the aspiring candidates at the IMA House here today.
Dr Sarabjit Singh Arora, chief election commissioner for the IMA polls, scrutinised nomination papers along with Dr Bhupinder Singh, Dr Balwinder Singh Kalsi, both members of the election commission, besides Dr Avinash Jindal, president, and Dr Bimal Kanish, honorary secretary, IMA Ludhiana branch, in the presence of candidates.
They said candidature of Dr Pawan Dhingra for the vice-president 2018 was rejected because he did not fulfil the criteria for this particular post.
