JEs protest, seek fixed basic pay at Khanna

A circle-level rally was organised in front of sub-centre, Khanna, under Junior Engineer, Devinder Singh in which their state president Paramjit Singh, Council of Junior Engineers, participated along with other state officials of their union.

In his address, Devinder Singh alleged the management of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), was not taking any steps for their genuine demands and resentment prevails among JEs of the state.

The assembled JEs also presented a demand letter to the concerned officials. The demands of JEs include the fixing of their basic pay at 19,770, to give upper scale after 16 years and to provide 30 litre patrol to newly joined candidates like their senior counterparts.

The protesters said they would protest from today till December 18 and would boycott stores, ME labs and to stop collection of defaulting amount and to stop any type of checking during these days.

The rally was addressed among others by Jagroop Singh AAE, Baldev Singh AAE, Shinagara Singh AAE and others.
