Sports persons of Simmi Batta Sports Club, Khanna, bring laurels to the city by winning 26 medals in the Punjab State Conjukai Karate Championship, organised at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana.

Acording to coach Simmi Batta, the competitions were for seven years-old to 20+ age groups and players from all over state mainly from academies participated in this championship. She said 14 students named Paryag, Harsh, Akashpreet Kaur, Arpita, Japish, Sahin, Karampreet Singh, Harshita Vij, Akshit, Vilohit, Bhvnesh, Ruhani, Japuji and Harshita of her academy won gold medals. Six other players including Harleen, Jaya, Khushi, Vani, Janya and Rushank won silver medals while Mayank, Harshit, Preeti, Harman, Karan and Lakshay won bronze medals.
