Panic had spread at Khanna Civil Hospital, when a 16-day-old infant was allegedly kidnapped by an unidentified woman. The incident happened at 12.45 pm, when a woman posing as a doctor gave something to eat to the mother of the child along with Rs20 and fled with the child.

Meanwhile, the police recovered the CCTV footage, in which the woman who kidnapped the child was seen. Sunita, mother of the abducted child, narrated the incident and said she brought her child to the hospital for some vaccine. When she was waiting for some doctor, a woman in a pink suit and white jacket suddenly appeared and asked her the reason why she was here. In the meantime, the woman took the child from his mother and gave Rs20 to her to go and eat something.

The mother thought her to be a doctor and went out to eat kulcha after handing over the child to her. When she came back, she found the woman missing. She narrated the incident to the hospital authorities and her family members, after which Khanna police officials also reached the spot and started probe to trace the woman and the abducted child.
