The Ludhiana team skipper, Geetansh Khera, led from the front and played a sedate innings of 60 runs to help his side score 235 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the first innings on the opening day of the second match in the ongoing Punjab State Inter-District Katoch Shield Cricket Tournament on the Punjab Agricultural University campus ground here today.

Hosts Ludhiana won the toss and elected to bat first. They began on a dismal note, losing first wicket when Talwinder returned to the pavilion without opening his account.
